We are now hiring: Muza Metal Products

OSHKOSH, Wis. — From the simplest to the most complicated, all kinds of metal fabrication work has passed through the hands of John Shafer.

He is a press brake operator at Muza metal products in Oshkoch.

“You get good, simple jobs that are enjoyable, but then you get a lot of jobs that are quite a challenge, so it’s nice to tax the brain a bit,” Schafer said.

He has been with Muza for 24 years.

“I started in the spot welding department and have pretty much moved on since then and done pretty much everything,” he said.

The company is looking for approx. 20 people to fill vacant positionssaid Heather Hennlich, Director of Human Resources.

“We are looking for positions in all fields. Painters, assemblers, press brake operators,” she said. “We are strengthening our robotic welding team because we have recruited new customers who need our robotic welding field.”

Hennlich said the company is looking for people with experience in the field as well as people new to the industry.

Muza recently added a new paint line. This is where you will find Munir Dawood working as a painter.

He has been with Muza for 19 years and, like Schafer, sees many different products go through the paint booth.

“Every day we do different things like cabinets, small, pieces, big pieces,” Dawood said.

Besides making the physical product, Schafer said there’s one aspect of his job that he really enjoys.

“I train a lot, so it’s good to see the new guys figuring it out, taking off and running their own machines and doing it well,” he said. “It’s a good feeling of satisfaction when I coach someone and they take off and succeed.”

Muza is hosting onsite job fairs in Oshkosh on June 14 (12:00 – 6:00 p.m.) and June 15 (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). It is located at 606 E. Murdock Ave. in Oskosh.
