Chihayafuru 3 releases English dub clip with casting details


Anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks has released an initial look and casting details for its synchronization of the third and currently final season of Chihayafuru.

New cast details and a clip of the English dubbing by Sentai Filmworks Chihayafuru was published.

Synchronized beforehand ChihayafuruThe American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks is now synchronizing the third season of the romance-sports anime for the first two seasons. In addition to a preview of the dub, Sentai Filmworks has released a full breakdown of the cast of the dub. The entire third season will be released on Blu-ray on July 27th, with both English and Japanese original sound. Pre-orders are currently live.

The latest addition to the dub’s ongoing line-up is Kelly Greenshield. Greenshield previously had supporting roles in. played Assassin’s pride, Shirobako and Run with the wind and has provided additional voices in anime such as One piece and fairy tale. Greenshield takes on the role of Haruka Inokuma, a retired mother trying to regain her title of queen of karuta.

Shannon D. Reed (Baki, Golden time) is again serving as the English ADR director of the series and Joel McCray as the ADR writer. Jonathan Rodriguez and Patrick Marrero will act as sound engineers, Brent Marshall will act as mixing engineer and Katrina Leonoudakis will translate.

Each voice actor in the main cast of the series will be starring Luci Christian (One piece, Full metal panic!, My hero academy), Adam Gibbs (Beyond the border, My romantic teen comedy SNAFU, Hyouka) and Blake Shephard (Angel beats!, Food Wars!, Holy Seiya) repeat their roles as series leaders Chihaya, Taichi and Arata. Juliet Simmons (Monthly Nozaki-kun for girls, Akame ga kill!), Bryson Baugus (Haikyuu !!, Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon?) and Greg Ayres (Break the blade, Free!) as Chihaya’s teammates Kana, “Desktomu” and “Porky”.

Other recurring supporting actors include Maggie Flecknoe (Love, Chunibyo and other delusions!) as Chihaya’s self-proclaimed rival Sumire, James Belcher (Haikyuu !!) as Chihaya’s trainer Dr. Harada, Vicki Barosh (009-1) as Chihaya’s class teacher Mrs. Miyauchi, David Matranga (My hero academy) as karuta master Suo, Gareth West (Haikyuu !!) as sadist Sudo and Kira Vincent-Davis (Elf song) as the enigmatic queen of Karuta Shinobu.

Although originally sold as a series for adult women, Yuki Suetsugu is an ongoing manga Chihayafuru has achieved immense commercial and critical success across many different demographics, producing three live-action films and one critically acclaimed anime produced by Studio Madhouse. The story of the unsuspecting protagonist Chihaya of becoming the greatest karuta player in the world and her conflicting feelings for childhood friends Taichi and Arata continues in the third and currently final season of the anime.
