Bentley signs the handcrafting process for the new Bentayga EWB

Bentley is ready to start working on its most luxurious offering.

Years ago, it would have been hard to imagine that Bentley’s flagship vehicle would be an SUV. However, the world’s love for luxury SUVs and the immense popularity of the Bentley Bentayga led Bentley to announce that it would feature the pinnacle of its luxury in the new Bentley Bentayga EWB. As the Bentayga EWB is Bentley’s latest flagship offering, its production involves Bentley’s most detailed, intensive and meticulous craftsmanship, and the start of this production is closer than ever as the team of craftsmen have obtained the approval to start production of the various luxury items in the vehicle.

In total, more than 132 hours of work are required to hand-build the Bentley Bentayga EWB at Bentley’s carbon-neutral factory in Crewe, down to the smallest details like the perforations in the leather on the door panels under one millimeter wide, the smoothest ever made by Bentley. the quilting, a stitching process derived from Bentley’s 2019 EXP 100 GT concept car, and of course, the wooden dashboards that have become a staple of automotive luxury. The wood set of each Bentayga EWB takes over 10 hours to maintain. In addition to this, Bentley is offering the Metal Overlay feature for plating for the first time, which adds metal less than a tenth of a millimeter thick to the design. Another feature available for the new Bentayga EWB is the new Bentley Diamond Illumination, which features 68 LEDs that shine through perforations in the leather trim of the door panels. The light they emit can be configured with different colors and intensities and adds to the perfectly configurable atmosphere of the vehicle.

One of the most luxurious and important features of the new Bentley Bentayga EWB is the Airline seat, which is Bentley’s most luxurious rear seat but with more posture and temperature adjustments than ever before, and a system which allows the seat to adjust to make you more comfortable and refreshed. The airline seat is ordered by 50% of Bentayga EWB customers, and so is the Diamond Illumination. For 30% of customers, Bentley Bentayga EWB orders include the extended paint range, metallic coatings in veneer and open pore wood. With all of these options both available and popular, the Bentayga EWB is a demonstration of Bentley’s unparalleled craftsmanship.
